Description

The Old Smugglers Cottage is a small stone rubble cottage, dating from the 18th century or possibly earlier. It is one and a half storeys tall and is positioned at a right angle to the road. The cottage features a gable end slate roof with a rubble chimney at the end. There are two windows, which are casement half dormers with a long sloped roof and lead cheeks. The central door is plain. The cottage is part of a group that includes Herriot House, Edgemount, The Bobbin, Nightingales, and the Lodge to Compton Undermount.
