Description

28-30 Quay Street is an early 19th-century row of three-storey houses featuring grey headers with yellow brick dressings. The buildings have low pitch gable end slate roofs with projecting eaves and a rendered band between the storeys. Each house has two recessed sash windows, with intact glazing bars on the second floor, flat brick arches, and block sills. Number 28 has a late 19th-century shop front, while number 29 has been modernized. Number 30 is an office dated 1880, showcasing pointed windows with keystones and incised decoration on the arches, along with a frieze of decorated tiles and a central ceramic plaque. Numbers 27 to 31 form a group.
