Description
Puckpool House is a building originally designed as a Swiss Cottage, constructed before 1830 by Lewis Wyatt for his own use. The house features an addition from the later 19th century, which is a much larger wing designed in a different style. The northern side retains part of the original structure, which resembles a rustic cottage. The ground floor includes a verandah supported by asymmetrical columns that mimic tree shapes. Above this is a half-hipped gable adorned with scalloped bargeboards. To the south, the large mid-Victorian addition is styled to resemble a semi-timber-framed house, although it is built of stone and includes gables, cusped bargeboards, pendants, and finials.
