Description
The garden building located to the north west of Woodlands Vale was built in 1874, designed by S S Teulon in the Gothic style. It is constructed of stock brick and features a hipped slate roof with terracotta ridge tiles and fleur de Lys finials. The south west front, which faces the main house, includes a gable with a sexfoil opening and a brick modillion eaves cornice. A wide opening on this front is flanked by granite colonnettes and stone spandrels that have pierced octofoils, with wooden double doors behind. The north east front has pierced round-headed windows and a plinth. This garden building remains unaltered and is part of a series of garden features designed by Teulon for Lord Calthorpe at Woodlands Vale.
