Description

Nos 138 and 139 on Pyle Street are a pair of 18th-century cottages. They are two storeys high and constructed of chequered brick with red brick dressings and a high rendered plinth. The cottages have gable end roofs covered with old tiles and feature two dormer windows. Each house has one sash window with moulded flush wood frames and block sills. The doors are recessed, consisting of six panels, two of which are glazed, and are topped with segmental brick arches. Stone steps lead up to the doors. Nos 137 to 139 form a group.
