Description

The milestone embedded in the barn at Mersley Farmhouse dates from the early 19th century. It is made of stone and features a rounded top. The inscription originally indicated "4 miles from Newport," although the numeral 4 has been removed. The barn itself is also from the early 19th century but is not considered of special interest.
