Description
The Crown Hotel, dating from around 1820, is a three-storey building with a stucco facade. It features a low-pitched hipped slate roof that rises to a flat terrace, which is surrounded by an iron railing with a lantern at the center. The building has a moulded eaves cornice and stucco bows with two windows on the ground and first floors, each with cornices and iron balconies above. There is one window between the two on the first floor and three windows on the second floor. All windows are recessed, sash style, with intact glazing bars and block sills. The central doorway is flanked by engaged Tuscan columns. To the south, there is an annexe that was originally a separate building, which slightly projects forward. This annexe is two storeys high, made of painted brick, and features a cornice and parapet with a large openwork iron crown in the center. It has three windows on the first floor and a large plate glass window on the ground floor.
