Terraced building, now a pub. Dated 1513 on front but much altered. Timber-frame, now rendered, roof of tiles. 2 storeys, 2 windows. 3 flat-arched entrances, one to north with overlight and sidelights, one to centre and one to splayed south corner with upper storey jettied out; 2 flat-arched windows to ground floor and 2 to first floor, probably of c19 date; ridge stack. The only obvious internal evidence of the original frame is one moulded beam in the middle bar. (Carder T: The Encyclopaedia of Brighton: Lewes: 1990-).
