Description

The gazebo, located in the garden wall of Hillside in Rottingdean, dates from around 1822. It is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof. The structure is square in shape and has a flat-arched window on each side, topped with a pyramidal roof. It is believed to have been built as a lookout for coaches coming from Lewes on the new Falmer Road.
