Description
This early 19th century farmhouse has been divided into two houses. The exterior is predominantly cob with red brick detailing around the windows and corners, and a tile roof. It is two storeys high, with a basement, and has a three-window front, with smaller two-storey, single-window wings to the left and right. A round-arched entrance is topped by a shallow porch featuring a pair of attached, unfluted Tuscan columns supporting an entablature with a triglyph frieze. Above this is a pediment with a raking cornice, mutule blocks, and fretwork decoration to the soffit. The intrados and jambs of the doorcase are panelled, and the entrance has a six-panelled door and a plain keystone. The brick quoins of the ground-floor windows extend to a brick base course. The windows are segmental arched with projecting sills and original six-pane sashes, with panel shuttering to the interior reveals. Small brick wings extend outwards on either side of the front facade, one with stucco dressings and one with brickwork. The first-floor returns have a single window set within a truncated gable; the left wing has cob and brick detailing, while the right wing features stucco cement and brick detailing. There are pairs of brick stacks to each end wall. The interior has not been inspected.
