Description

These are three 18th-century terraced cottages located on The Square in Patcham, Brighton. The cottages are built of flint, with some parts rendered, and have brick dressings. The roof is covered with late 20th-century tiles. Each cottage has two storeys and one window. They feature brick quoins and red-brick dressings. The entrances are flat-arched, and all windows are flat-arched as well. The ground floor windows have brick surrounds resembling simple arches. The windows are horizontal sliding sashes, found on the ground and first floors of number 11 and the ground floor of number 12. Chimneys are located at the ends of numbers 10 and 12, while a chimney stack is situated on the party wall between numbers 11 and 12. The interior was not inspected.
