Description
The Butlers Retreat is a detached house, likely built in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame with weatherboarding on a brick base and has an old tiled roof that is steeply pitched to the eaves. The house is two storeys tall and consists of three bays, with a one-storey lean-to bay on the left side. There are exposed timber posts between the bays, and the central entrance is square-headed with a planked door. The windows are square-headed casements with timber hoods. The rear facade is similar to the front but includes a long central window and exposed rafters. The building is included for its group value.
