Description
A pair of semi-detached houses dated 1826, with later rebuilding, located on Whipps Cross Road in Leytonstone. The houses are constructed of yellow brick with red gauged brick heads. The roof is not visible, concealed by a parapet. They are three storeys high, each originally three windows wide, with a three-storey canted bay window added to the right of number 135. The entrance to the outer bay of number 135 is framed by a pedimented doorcase with consoles and dentils; a two-storey extension to the left contains the entrance to number 133, which is likely not original. Number 135 has a four-panelled door, while number 133 has a six-panelled door. The square windows are sash windows with gauged brick heads, most retaining their original glazing bars. A brick band runs above the second floor.
