Description
56 New Wanstead is a detached house, likely built in the mid-19th century. It is two stories tall and three windows wide, constructed of yellow stock brick. The roof is a low-pitched hipped slate design. The central entrance is flanked by canted bay windows, and there is a porch supported by fluted Doric columns. The upper windows are recessed sashes, set under flat gauged arches and featuring glazing bars. There is a side extension that is of slightly later date.
