Description
Christ Church is a church constructed between 1860 and 1861, designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott. It is built of ragstone with ashlar dressings, and has a Gothic design, featuring an aisled nave and chancel that are covered by separate slated roofs. A north tower provides the main entrance and is surmounted by a broach spire with dormers. The building includes plate tracery windows.
