Description
Nos 1 and 3 Nightingale Road is a pair of two-storey buildings from the 19th century. They feature a pyramidal slate roof and a bracket eaves cornice. The front is made of yellow brick, while the ground floor is covered in stucco. On the first floor, there are four sash windows without glazing bars set in painted reveals. The ground floor has two 19th-century shop fronts, each with a window consisting of four elliptical-headed lights arranged in two tiers, separated by a narrow pilaster band. Each shop front also includes half-glazed doors and a groove for shutters above the windows. Additionally, there is a similar three-light window on the left-hand return, which is also stuccoed.
