Description

The churchyard walls at Beddington, likely built in the 19th century, consist of low west and south walls made of dressed flints with rounded tops. These walls feature pilasters with brick quoins at intervals. The southern wall has a tile course that extends eastward to the boundary wall of Carew Manor. The northern wall of the churchyard is also constructed of flint but is taller than the southern wall. The churchyard walls are part of a group that includes the Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, lychgates, the wall along Church Lane, the Orangery Wall, the gate and screen, the Pigeon House, Nos 1 to 3 Beddington Park Cottages, the premises occupied by the Hockey Club and an adjoining structure, East Lodge, the wall south-west of Beddington Park Cottages, and the walls to the north of the Orangery and Beddington Place.
