Description

This is a brick wall, likely dating from the 17th to early 18th century, situated to the south-west of Beddington Park Cottages. It extends in a south-westerly direction, ending at a point level with the dovecote. The wall terminates in a plain brick pier topped with stone. From this point, a flint wall, appearing to be from the 19th century, with rounded coping and a tile course, turns south-east around a stable yard, with an interruption for the stable yard entrance. A brick gateway, featuring a slightly rounded arch and battered coping, is incorporated into the wall. The wall forms part of a group of structures including the parish church, lychgates, churchyard walls, the Orangery wall, Beddington Place gate and screen, a pigeon house, numbers 1 to 3 Beddington Park Cottages, premises occupied by the Hockey Club, East Lodge, and garden walls north of the Orangery and Beddington Place.
