Description

The wall at the rear of No 6 High Street in Carshalton connects Nos 4 and 6. It consists of two sections. The northern section is likely from the 17th century or earlier and is believed to be part of the old manor wall. This section features dressed flint with some chalk block, a brick course near the base at the north end, a brick toothed course, and battered coping. The southern section is much taller and is made entirely of flint walling. From the south, the church forms a group with No 4 High Street, along with the churchyard walls and the wall to the south of No 6 High Street.
