Description

The statue in the Fountain Garden, located on the lawn opposite the tennis court, has an uncertain date of origin. It was purchased in 1865 from Austin Seeley and Co. The statue features a pedestal made of Portland stone and figures made of white stone, which may be Italian breccia, depicting Hercules slaying the Nemean Lion.
