Description

The retaining wall of the pond in front of the Palm House at the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew was built in 1847 by W.E. Nesfield, who also designed the four main vistas: Broad Walk, Holly Walk, Pagoda Vista, and Cedar Vista. The wall is topped with 26 buff terracotta urns and vases.
