Description

Victoria Gate is a mid-19th century elaborate iron gate located at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew. It features a central pair of gates flanked by pedestrian gates, all adorned with arched panels that are foliated and scrolled. The central gates are topped with an overthrow. The gates are set between four rusticated stone piers, each crowned with vases. The inner gate piers display a coronet with "VR" within panels. The gatepiers are made of rusticated Portland stone and are also topped with urns. The iron panels of the gates are identical in design to those of the Cumberland Gates.
