Description

The Temple of Bellona, built in 1760 by Sir William Chambers, is located in the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. This structure is made of whitewashed stucco and features a façade with a portico supported by two pairs of Doric columns. Above the portico is a metope frieze pediment, and an oval dome is situated behind it. Inside, there is a room with an oval domed center. The walls are adorned with garlands and medallions that display the names and numbers of British and Hanovarian regiments associated with the Seven Years' War.
