Description
The Church of St Gabriel, built around 1914 by Charles Spooner, is designed in a free Perpendicular style. It features a nave and chancel under a single roof, flanked by aisles. The exterior is constructed of red brick, accented with decorative bands of tiles, and topped with a steeply pitched red tiled roof. A lead flèche is situated at the west end of the building. Inside, the wide nave is separated from the aisles by seven bay arcades supported by simple octagonal stone piers. The ceiling is a plain painted timber design, and there is an oak Rood Screen present.
