Description

The tomb of Vice-Admiral Robert Plampin is made of Portland stone and Carrara marble, set on a York stone base. The original iron railings have been lost. The memorial features a strigilated column with an inscription panel in the center of the shaft, which supports an urn. It stands on a pedestal that has a worn carved upper section decorated with naval trophies and a heraldic achievement.
