Description
A garden pavilion dating from approximately 1904-5, situated within the grounds of Queen Alexandra’s Court. It was designed by Ernest George and Yeates. The pavilion is constructed of red brick and Portland stone, with painted timber detailing, and has a steeply pitched hipped roof covered in green slate, extending to the eaves. It is a single-storey building. The east facade features five bays, with a central clock tower topped by a tented copper roof and weather vane, and an arched opening at ground floor level. Flanking bays have moulded timber panelling behind Doric columns, with inset windows. The north, south, and west facades also exhibit architectural interest, featuring sash windows.
