Description

The tomb of Gilbert Stuart Newton, who died in 1835, is located in the churchyard of St Mary, approximately 20 yards northwest of the tower. This Grade II listed table tomb is made of Portland stone and features a rectangular plinth with panelled sides and a cornice. An artist's palette is carved in relief on the east end of the tomb.
