Description

The Gate Lodge to Syon House consists of a pair of early 17th century square lodges, known as No 1 and No 2 Gate Lodge. They are constructed of ashlar and stand two storeys high with one window each. Although they have been refaced, their location in relation to the entrance avenue and courtyard of Syon House is significant, warranting their preservation alongside the house. Syon House and its lodges are recognized as a grade I group.
