Description
The boundary wall to Syon Park is a Grade II listed structure located along Park Road. The wall is approximately 1,000 metres long and extends from the Duchess's Gateway on London Road, flanking either side of the Lion Gate, and continues down Park Road to within ten metres of the current main entrance for motor vehicles. While some sections of the wall date back to the 17th century, much of it was constructed in the 1750s along London Road and in the 1820s when Park Road was developed. The wall is built of yellow stock brick, with red brick indicating the earlier work, and it stands about two metres high, featuring replaced and repointed copings.
