Description

BEAVERS LANE 1. 4419 The Keep (Armoury) to Hounslow Cavalry Barracks TQ 1175NE 41/363 II GV

  1. 1875 by C B Ewart, Royal Engineers. 3 storeys, 5 bay North East front, with 4 storey staircase towers at each end and in centre of south-west front. Yellow stock brick with white brick bands. Colonnade to ground floor and seal-octagonal middle bay. 3rd floor of towers with plain blind colonnade and shallow pyramid slated roofs. Bracketed eaves cornice to coped parapet. Many windows retain heavy cast iron shutters with firing loops and massive bolts to the interior.
