Description
The former chapel to Hounslow Cavalry Barracks was built between 1845 and 1851 and has since been altered to serve as a dormitory for troopers. The building is constructed from multi-coloured stock brick and features pitched slate roofs. It has an aisled design with a low continuous clerestory and consists of seven bays, with six bays aisled and divided by plain pilasters. The north window, which is the ritual east, has four arched lights, with the inner pair linked and all set below a cambered head. The central south door is rusticated and arched, set in a shallow projection, and is flanked by round-headed windows and an oculus in the gable. There are also later single-storey extensions to the north.
