Description
There are four lamp standards with lanterns located outside the main entrance to the Gillette Factory at the corner of Syon Lane (Great West Road). These ornate Victorian cast iron street lamps were originally designed for gas but have since been converted. They flank the steps leading to the main entrance of the factory, which is a much later building designed by Bannister Fletcher. The lamps are supported on putti and stand on stone plinths.
