Description

The milestone at Madbridge, located on the south-west side of Bath Road in Colnbrook, dates back to 1741. It has been recut and is now triangular in shape, with the front corners chamfered. The front of the milestone is inscribed with "London 16 miles," likely added in the mid-19th century. The west face features the inscription "XVI miles from Hyde Park Corner 1741."
