Description

The Hollies is a late 16th and 17th century building located on the east side of Poyle Road in Stanwell. It is two storeys high with a gable-lit attic and features a half-hipped tiled roof supported by four chimneys. The front has four windows with glazing bar sashes set in flush frames, and a rendered parapet that likely indicates a remodelling in the 18th century, particularly noticeable on the south section at the rear. There are also lean-to windows on both the left and right sides, which appear to have timber framing. The rear of the building is timber-framed in two sections, with the northern end dating from the 17th century and featuring a dormer above a catslide section. Inside, there is access to the garret located between two chimneys.
