Description
Nos 127 and 128 High Street in Uxbridge are a pair of buildings dating from around 1700. They are two storeys tall with an attic and have a total of five windows. The high-pitched tiled roofs feature two dormers, one flat and one gabled.
No 127 has a brown brick front with red brick dressings, including gauged flat window arches, and a moulded and dentilled wooden eaves cornice. The sash windows, which have been replaced, are set in exposed, moulded frames; two are of normal width, while the third is very narrow. The ground floor has a modern shop front.
No 128 has a painted brick front with a diagonal brick cornice that varies in planes. It features modern pivoted windows in exposed moulded frames and also has a modern shop front on the ground floor. At the left angle, there is a double cast iron gate with an arched top and spearhead standards.
Together with Nos 126 to 136 and No 126A, these buildings form a group.
