Description

The Cedars is an 18th-century building located on the south-west side of High Street in Uxbridge. It is constructed of red brick and stands three storeys tall, featuring five double-hung sash windows without glazing bars. The entrance has a doorway framed by Roman Doric pilasters, an entablature, and an open pediment, along with a semi-circular arched fanlight that includes a keystone and archivolt. The building has a plinth, bands at the first and second floors, and a cornice with dentil and cyma recta details. The roof is covered with old tiles and has Dutch gables on the side elevations. The ground floor windows have been enlarged and modernised.
