Description
Nos 126 and 126A on High Street in Uxbridge is an early to mid-19th century building that stands three storeys tall and has three windows. It features a hipped slate roof that is partly hidden behind a parapet, which is part of a stuccoed facade adorned with angle pilasters and a recessed central bay. The building has recessed sash windows with glazing bars, all topped with cornices, and the first-floor windows also have moulded architraves. On the ground floor, there is a central six-panel door with a patterned rectangular fanlight above it. Flanking the door are mid-19th century shop fronts, which have been filled with a reproduction Georgian bow shop window that includes glazing bars. Nos 126 to 136, along with No 126A, form a group.
