Description
122 and 123 High Street are two buildings with early to mid-18th century fronts, which may be older behind. Number 122 is two storeys and an attic with four bays. It has a tiled mansard roof featuring two later flat dormers. The building is constructed of stock brick and has a parapet above a moulded and modillioned red brick cornice. There are gauged flat brick arches over replaced sash windows with glazing bars in near-flush moulded frames, and the second window from the left is blocked.
Number 123 is also two storeys and an attic, with three windows. It has a high-pitched tiled roof with a later hipped dormer. The wall is made of stock brick, with rebuilt red brick arches over replaced sash windows that also have glazing bars in near-flush moulded frames. The ground floor features modern garage fronts.
These buildings have group value with Nos 118 to 120, which are consecutive.
