Description

Heathfield is a detached house dating from 1892, designed by Arnold Mitchell. The house is constructed of red brick with tile hanging, featuring a tiled pitched roof extending to the eaves. It has an irregular composition, with two storeys on the left and two storeys with attics in twin gables to the right. The left side has two irregular bays, including a tile-hung, segmental-headed entrance porch. The right side has two main bays, with segmental-headed windows, including a pair of long, low windows beneath the gables. The windows are casements with small panes and glazing bars. The rear elevation is also noteworthy. The interior retains original fireplaces and an inglenook.
