Description
Nos. 122 and 124 on Old Woolwich Road are a pair of houses built around 1830. They are constructed of stock brick with some painted stone, featuring slate roofs behind rebuilt parapets and end stacks. The design is symmetrical and two stories high, with wide bows on either side of a central carriageway. Each bow has a tripartite window with 28 lights and glazing bar sashes, set under gauged brick heads. The first-floor windows above the carriageway also have glazing bar sashes. Although the doors in the carriageway are blocked, the original doors remain on either side, with one featuring a mid-19th century painted stone porch with a keystone. The interiors are believed to still have original stone fireplaces on the ground floor, along with cornices and doors.
