Description
No 10 Ballast Quay, formerly known as Union Wharf, is an early 18th-century house that has been significantly altered in the early 19th century when its neighboring buildings were constructed. The building stands three storeys tall and features two windows. It is made of multicoloured stock brick and has a parapet, with an irregular shape. An additional storey has been added above the right bay, which is now part of No 9. The left side of the ground floor is covered in stucco. The building has cambered arches above restored sash windows that include glazing bars within original near-flush moulded frames. The door is plain with four panels, two of which are glazed. There is a fire assurance sign located on the left side of the first floor. No 10 is part of a group of listed buildings on Ballast Quay, including No 18.
