Description
The forecourt railings and gates located to the north of the Seamen's Old Burial Ground and the Nurses' Home date from the 19th century. They feature tall, lancehead cast iron railings supported by square stone piers at regular intervals, which continue around the corner to King William Walk. Opposite the entrance to the Nurses' Home, there are two small stone arches, each adorned with wide pilasters and an entablature, along with cast iron lampholders featuring an acanthus pattern above. Within these arches, there are small cast iron gates, and between them, there are double cast iron gates.
