Description
This is an urn on a pedestal located approximately 120 metres north west of Trent Park House. It dates from the early to mid-18th century and was likely brought to Trent Park by Sir Philip Sassoon in the 1930s. The pedestal is made of ashlar and stands about 1 metre high, featuring a moulded base and cornice. The urn has a swept, decorated foot, a gadrooned base, and festoons that hang alternately from bows and lions' mouths. The top of the urn is decorative with a domed shape, although the finial is missing.
