Description
The Statue of Actaeon is located to the left of the main entrance to Trent Park House. It dates from around 1700 and was moved to Trent Park from Wrest Park in Bedfordshire by Sir Philip Sassoon in 1934. The statue stands on an ashlar plinth, which features a moulded base and cornice, and is carved on the front with a hunting trophy. The statue itself depicts Actaeon with a restored raised arm, accompanied by a seated dog behind him.
