Description
The barns at Forty Hall Farm, located to the west of Forty Hall, date back to the 17th century and are constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding. The barn features a tiled roof and includes queen strut roof trusses and purlins at two levels, along with collar beams at the upper purlin level. Surrounding the farmyard are lengths of 17th-century red brick wall with sloped coping, which have been breached in places. On the north side of the courtyard, there is another barn that has a cottage at its east end, which adjoins the outer wall. This structure is primarily made of red brick, with some weatherboarding and a tiled roof.
