Description

Elsynge Cottage and Elsynge House are a group value dwelling of several periods, unified by their front facade, now divided into two separate homes. Elsynge House is likely from the early 18th century, with two storeys, a basement, and an attic, featuring two windows. It has a high-pitched hipped roof, now slate-covered, with one dormer window. A two-storey extension was added to the right side under a gable, probably in the early 19th century. Elsynge Cottage, perhaps dating to the mid-to-late 18th century, though possibly with later alterations, is two storeys with two windows, and features a slated mansard roof. Both properties are constructed of brown brick with parapet fronts. The first-floor windows are lengthened lunettes; the ground-floor windows are Venetian with fluted friezes. Elsynge House has an open, pedimented doorcase with a dentil cornice.
