Description

Forty Hill House is an early 19th-century house of three storeys and a basement, originally featuring three windows. The house is constructed of yellow brick with a stone coped parapet concealing the roof. A stone cornice band and a band at the level of the second floor are also present. The sash windows have glazing bars, and those on the ground floor are set within elliptical-arched recesses with a stone impost band. Gauged flat brick arches feature above each window. A half-glazed door, dating from the later 19th century, is set within a pedimented porch supported by fluted Doric columns.
