Description

The forecourt and garden walls to The Hermitage are early 18th century structures made of fairly tall red brick. They flank either side of the front garden and feature a low front wall with a small iron gate. At the ends, there are square piers that are topped with stone coping. Similar walls surround the garden to the east of the house, along with another end pier. The buildings at Nos 70 to 76 (even) form a group with The Hermitage and the attached stable building, including its forecourt walls.
