Description

Nos 1, 1A, and 1B on The Avenue were built around 1876 by architect E W Godwin. These two-storey houses with attics are constructed of red brick, with some tile hanging and tiled roofs. They feature a single-storey bay at the front and a three-storey gabled bay on the side facing Bedford Road. These houses are particularly significant as they are among the first built in Bedford Park and were designed by the estate's first architect.
