Description

This is an early 19th-century limestone milestone located on the east side of Bromley Common. It features a rounded top and has two recessed inscription panels. One panel reads "12/MILES/TO/LONDON/BRIDGE," while the other states "2/MILES/TO/FARNBORO(UGH)." The milestone is situated along the New Cross Turnpike road, which dates back to 1718.
